Oporto Sports clients Michael Johnson and the Guyana Football Federation qualified for the CONCACAF Gold Cup last weekend, with an historic 2-1 win over Belize.

The victory sees the Guyana men’s national team reach a major tournament for the first time in their history, with the group stages draw to be made on Wednesday 10 April.

Guyana were also placed in to League B of the inaugural CONCACAF Nations League, where they will face Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba and an emotional pairing with Jamaica, whom Johnson represented during his playing career.
