MERSEYSIDE CLUB ON HAND TO SAVE LIVES
A junior football club affiliated to Oporto client Liverpool CFA has become the first in the country to provide potentially life-saving defibrillators to each one of its teams, it is understood.
Seneley & Garswood Juniors Football Club, based in St Helens, raised over £8,000 to purchase the equipment, which will now be on hand for every teams’ respective game to aid players, coaches, officials and spectators if ever the case arises.
The club’s officials were presented with the equipment by Mark King of the Oliver King Foundation, which raises awareness of Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome (SADS).
