Oporto Sports client Sol Bamba was a guest this week on BBC Radio 5 Live as part of their preview of the 2024 African Cup of Nations.
Sol spoke to show host John Bennett and fellow guests Seb Bassong and George Addo, with the tournament starting on Saturday 13 January and hosted in Sol’s homeland, Ivory Coast. He finished as a runner-up in the 2012 AFCON, losing 8-7 on penalties to Zambia after a 0-0 draw after extra-time, with Sol scoring Ivory Coast’s third penalty in the shootout.
