Oporto Sports PR client and Lincoln City manager Michael Appleton spoke to The Daily Telegraph’s John Percy recently for an exclusive interview about his diagnosis with testicular cancer.
Appleton detailed how he discovered there was something wrong, how it affected him and his family and his return to work, including a call from one of his mentors, Sir Alex Ferguson.
Michael’s Lincoln City were League 1 play-off finalists last season, losing 2-1 to Blackpool at Wembley, a remarkable achievement given the club’s modest budget.
