Oporto Sports would like to congratulate our friend, Emile Heskey, on his appointment as an ambassador for Leicester City Women, working as a mentor to the players as they transition in to a full-time professional club.
Emile, who is currently enrolled on the UEFA Masters course for International Players, started his career at Leicester City, winning the second tier play-off final in 1996, before helping the club to four consecutive top ten finishes in the Premier League and two League Cups in 1997 and 2000.
Emile will help with the development of the women’s academy set up and player pathway as part of a long-term strategy to help young female footballers in the area.
In 2019, Emile published his autobiography, Even Heskey Scored, working with Oporto Sports and the book was shortlisted for Autobiography of the Year at the 2020 Telegraph Sports Book Awards. To buy a copy, please click here
