Oporto Sports publicity client Richie Wellens has agreed a three-year deal with Salford City, this week.
Wellens, who won the League 2 title last season with Swindon Town, will be hoping for similar success with his new club this season.
Salford lie in 10th place in League 2, three points outside of the play-off places.
