Oporto Sports would like to congratulate our client, Grimsby Town assistant head coach Shaun Pearson, on the club’s landmark victory over Premier League giants Manchester United on Wednesday night.
The match finished 2-2 in normal time, with Grimsby leading 2-0 until the final 15 minutes, but the Mariners showed great heart to win 12-11 in a dramatic penalty shootout.
Pearson joined the Grimsby coaching staff following his retirement as a player in 2023, and was joint caretaker manager later that year, leading the team to five games unbeaten, before taking on his current role under head coach David Artell.
