Oporto Sports is delighted to have completed the deal for our client Darrell Clarke to become the new head coach of Barnsley Football Club.
Clarke has signed a two-year agreement, with a further one-year club option.
Speaking at his unveiling yesterday, Clarke said: “I’m absolutely delighted, can’t wait to get started. I’m proud to be managing this football club, I’m really looking forward to it. I didn’t need to be sold on the club, it’s got huge potential and I’m excited to get myself going and get the squad rebuilt and try to push on for a promotion challenge.”
Oporto Sports would like to thank both Barnsley and Cheltenham Town for the respectful way the move was handled, and would like to wish both clubs all the best for next season.
