David Flitcroft speaks to media on grassroots coaching marathon

Friend of Oporto Sports, former player, manager and sporting director, David Flitcroft, will host a 12-hour grassroots coachathon in Bolton tomorrow (Saturday 29 November).

Flitcroft will be joined by former Bolton, Blackburn, West Ham and England boss, Sam Allardyce, as well as England under-20s head coach Ben Futcher, and Liverpool psychologist, Lee Richardson.

David is aiming to raise awareness and funding for mental health, suicide prevention and addiction support, with all money raised directly benefitting local grassroots clubs and their communities through the provision of annual subscriptions to Safety Net, a digital wellbeing platform designed by AIM-FOR that provides online guidance to players, coaches and parents in managing mental health and addiction challenges.
