Oporto Sports client and Stevenage manager Steve Evans has achieved a double in the past week – promotion to League 1 last Saturday, and the League 2 Manager of the Month award today (Friday).
Stevenage beat Grimsby Town 2-0 last weekend to secure promotion, while climbing in to second place in the table, following Northampton Town’s defeat to Bradford City.
Steve’s Manager of the Month award comes after his side gained 15 points from eight games, only losing once during an unrelenting April. Also nominated were Dave Challinor (Stockport County), Ben Garner (Colchester United) and Oporto PR client and League 2 champion, Richie Wellens (Leyton Orient).
Last Saturday was the ninth time Steve has guided a club to promotion across the EFL and non-league, achieving this success with five different clubs.
