Oporto clients are still active in both the FA Cup and the EFL Trophy, as both competitions progress.
In the FA Cup, Jon Brady guided Port Vale to a 1-0 win over Fleetwood Town, to earn a home tie against Championship Bristol City in the fourth round.
Norwich City first-team coach, Ryan Garry, will also face a home tie in round four against West Bromwich Albion, with Phillipe Clement’s side beating Walsall 5-1 in round three.
Grimsby Town assistant, Shaun Pearson, completes the set of home ties, with Dave Artell’s side having knocked out Weston-Super-Mare 3-2, to face Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers in round four.
In the EFL Trophy last 16 Northern Section, Jon Brady’s Port Vale face a trip to Bolton Wanderers this evening for a place in the quarter-finals, while in the Southern Section, Steve Evans’ Bristol Rovers face a home tie against Plymouth Argyle and Oporto client Mike Stowell as goalkeeper coach, and Luton Town, with assistant head coach Chris Powell, face Swindon Town at home, also this evening.
