Oporto Sports client Staffordshire FA has been awarded a grant of £609,155 in order to use football to boost the activity levels of people in Stoke-on-Trent, thanks to a new programme from Sport England, funded by the National Lottery, and delivered by the Football Foundation.
The Active Through Football project in Stoke-on-Trent will be targeting residents currently experiencing health inequalities and economic hardship, due to unemployment and the impact of COVID-19, aged between 25 and 49 years, living within the most deprived wards in the city.
