Oporto Sports client Dean Hammond spoke to the Daily Mail recently about the importance of the loan manager role, further emphasised by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hammond held the role of loan manager at Leicester City, before leaving to help care for his children while his wife had serious back surgery.
Speaking to the Mail’s Tom Collomosse, Hammond highlighted the likes of Harvey Barnes and Hamza Choudhury who have enjoyed successful loan spells before reaching the Foxes first-team, and he predicts the same for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Josh Knight and Luke Thomas, who broke in to the side after Ben Chilwell’s injury towards the end of the season.
