James Pearson features in The Guardian

Friend of Oporto Sports James Pearson has announced his retirement from professional football, aged 27, due to a knee injury, in an in-depth interview with Ben Fisher of The Guardian.

Pearson, son of Oporto client Nigel, played for Barnet, Kidderminster Harriers and Macclesfield Town, as well as spells with Leicester City, Carlisle United, Wrexham, Peterborough United and Coventry City.

James spoke about his role as the PFA representative at Macclesfield and his experiences of trying to help save the club.
