Oporto Sports would like to congratulate our client Southend United head coach Kevin Maher on reaching the FA Trophy final.
Southend won 3-1 away to Southport in the semi-final last Saturday, to set up a tie at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 17 May against Wealdstone.
This will be Maher’s second trip to Wembley in the space of 12 months, following last season’s play-off final against Oldham Athletic.
Southend followed their FA Trophy semi-final win with a 2-1 victory over Yeovil Town on Tuesday evening to return to the National League play-off places, with games in hand on their rivals, ahead of the Easter weekend and matches against Braintree Town at home (Friday 3 April) and Sutton United away (Monday 6 April).
