Friend of Oporto Sports and former Director of Football and Chief Football Officer for the Football Association of Ireland, Marc Canham, spoke recently to Miguel Delaney, The Chief Football Writer of The Independent.
The interview covered a range of topics, including Canham and the FAI’s appointment of Heimir Hallgrimsson, the process and identification of manager appointments, and a consideration of Marc’s home country, England, and the pathways for English coaches in the game, amongst other topics.
Canham departed his role with the FAI last year after three years, and as well as working with federations, has since consulted for The LMA, and Mercury 13, supporting Bristol City Women, and is open to his next project in the game.
