Oporto Sports is delighted to have completed the agreement for our client Mikey Harris to be named as assistant coach of the Norway women’s senior team.
Mikey began work last week on a training camp ahead of his new side’s opening FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers. Norway won 1-0 away to Austria yesterday (Tuesday) and will face Germany at home on Saturday.
Mikey will work alongside head coach Gemma Grainger, who joined Norway in 2024, following a successful spell managing Wales, with Norway women hoping to qualify for the 2027 Women’s World Cup, held in Brazil.
This will be Mikey’s second role in the women’s game, following a successful five-month spell as interim head coach of Brighton & Hove Albion women’s team in the WSL. He will continue to work as Brighton men’s U21s assistant coach until the end of the season.
