Congratulations to Oporto Sports client and FC Bruno’s Magpies head coach Nathan Rooney, who last night (Thursday), guided his side to an historic penalty shootout victory over Lincoln Red Imps, to claim the club’s first silverware.
Rooney took over in January 2022, taking the side from third-bottom to UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying and the club’s first Rock Cup final appearance. He then followed up this season with a third-placed finish, going one step further in the final, beating Lincoln Red Imps 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
Nathan, who has the LMA Diploma in Management, the UEFA A Licence and is in application for his Pro Licence, is just 33 years old, but already has a wealth of coaching experience behind him, including 62 wins from 86 games as a head coach.
