Oporto Sports PR client Paulo Sousa’s Shabab Al Ahli side earned a 0-0 draw with Al Hilal in their penultimate Asian Champions League group stage game yesterday.
Al Hilal top the Western group standings with six wins and one draw, while Paulo’s side are in 5th place with three wins, two draws and two defeats, and are on course for qualification to the last 16.
Sousa has also guided Shabab to the top of the UAE Pro League standings, with 38 points from 15 games, in to the President’s Cup semi-finals, and they were runners-up in both the UAE/Qatar Super Shield and the Arabian Gulf Super Cup.
