Oporto Sports UK client Paulo Sousa has achieved another landmark in his remarkable season in the UAE, guiding Shabab Al-Ahli to the UAE League Cup final, following a 5-3 aggregate win over rivals, Sharjah.
Sousa’s side lead the table by seven points, and face second-placed Sharjah tomorrow evening (6pm UK time), in the final game of five consecutive matches against them, across three competitions.
Sousa has already claimed two trophies – the UAE Super Cup and the UAE/Qatar Super Cup – is top of the League table, has reached the League Cup final, faces a President’s Cup semi-final vs Al-Wasl next Wednesday, and reached the Asian Champions League Two quarter-finals, before a penalty shootout defeat.
