Richie O’Donnell
Oporto Sports represents Port Vale first-team coach, Richie O’Donnell.
Richie gained the UEFA Pro Licence qualification in 2023, adding to his already impressive experience in practical roles.
O’Donnell’s coaching career began with Hull City in 2008, where he progressed to the role of PDP coach, before joining Michael Appleton at Lincoln City in 2020 where he spent two-and-a-half years as first team development coach, reaching the League One play-off final in 2021. He continued the partnership with Appleton at Blackpool in the EFL Championship, Charlton Athletic and most recently with Shrewsbury Town.
Speaking of O'Donnell, Oporto director Dean Eldredge, said: “I’ve known Richie for a while now, and have always enjoyed his company, while admiring his professional skills and career achievements so far.
“Richie has a positive personality, is a hands-on, technical coach and has demonstrated adaptability within the roles he has held. We look forward to working with him, and helping him to continue his career progression.”
