Ryan Garry named England U17s head coach

Oporto Sports client Ryan Garry has been confirmed as the head coach for the England men’s under-17s side for this season.

Garry enjoyed a successful season with the England under-18s in his first year with The FA, winning five of his ten games in charge, drawing three (two going to penalties and winning both shootouts) and losing only two. He also guided a side hit by injuries to win the Four Nations tournament in Zagreb this summer.

Ryan’s new side will compete for a place at next summer’s UEFA U17 Euros in Hungary, and will also hope to reach the 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup in Peru later that year. They start with the first qualifying round against Israel, Georgia and Lithuania in October.
