Oporto Sports client and England U17s head coach Ryan Garry will take his first steps in a major tournament this week as his side begins their UEFA U17s European Championships campaign, in Hungary.
England were drawn in group D and will face Croatia on Thursday (7pm, Balmazújváros City Stadium), followed by The Netherlands on Sunday (7pm, Nagyerdei Stadium, Debrecen) and Switzerland on Wednesday 24 May (2pm, DEAC Stadium, Debrecen).
If England finish in the top two positions in the group stage they will progress to the quarter-finals, with games to be played on Saturday 27 May. As well as competing amongst 15 other teams for the trophy, the top five sides in the tournament will also qualify for the U17s FIFA World Cup, held from 10 November to 2 December 2023. Peru are no longer hosting the tournament, with a new host to be determined in due course.
