Oporto Sports is delighted that our client and friend, the late Sven-Göran Eriksson, has been shortlisted as one of four finalists in the Sports Documentary category, for the International Emmy Awards 2025, held in New York City on Monday 24 November.
Sven was released in August 2024 on Amazon Prime Video in the UK, Ireland and Nordics, and was produced by Whisper and Up&Away Film Entertainment, directed by Claudia Corbisiero (Bobby Robson: More than a Manager), produced by Chris Grubb (Ben Stokes: Phoenix from the Ashes) and Drew Masters (14 Peaks, Nothing is Impossible) and executive produced by James Quinn for Up&Away, and Sunil Patel and Mark Cole for Whisper.
Sven has already been honoured with the following accolades:
- Sports Documentary of the Year (Over 60 minutes) – The Broadcast Sport Awards 2024
- TV Documentary of the Year – 2025 Sports Journalists Association awards
- Silver, Most Successful Sports Broadcast – Sports Business Awards 2024
- Longlisted, Authored Documentary – National Television Awards 2025
- Shortlisted, Best Sports Documentary – The Grierson British Trust
